SOCI 493 - Globalization and Development


3 Credits
Three hours per week.

This course deals with domestic factors, colonialism, neocolonialism, and globalization as they have differentially impacted development in such a manner as to contribute to extreme wealth in some regions of the world and extreme poverty in others. Linkages (economic, commercial, political, and technological) between developed and developing countries, as well as development issues that relate to human rights, will be addressed.
