COSC 356 - Compilers


4 Credits
Four lecture hours.

This course is an introduction to the principles, techniques and tools for design and implementation of compilers. The course covers: introduction to compiling, a simple one-pass compiler, lexical analysis - scanning, syntax analysis - parsing, semantic analysis, syntax-directed translation, intermediate code generation, code generation, code optimization, and symbol table management.

Prerequisite(s) COSC 385 .
