HIST 314 - Europe from the Restoration Through World War II


3 Credits
Three hours per week.

This course examines both the “long” 19th century (from the Restoration to World War I) and the two World Wars in Europe. The Industrial Revolution in Europe and the origins of modern political and social ideologies will be explored. The Great War, interwar culture and fascism, and World War II and the Holocaust will be examined, especially for how they affected the social and cultural history of Europe.
