HIST 364 - Comparative Slavery in the African Diaspora

This course compares and contrasts slavery in African and New World Societies. The focus will be upon specific regions in Africa and selected countries in North America, the Caribbean and South America. The emphasis will be on slave resistance as well as treatment of the enslaved by the master class.
