School-wide Requirements

In addition to meeting the requirements in General Education and in the major, students must also complete six (6) credits in the Complementary Studies Program required of all majors in the School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (SCMNS). Options for satisfying this requirement are outlined under the section on the SCMNS. In order to qualify for graduation, students must take the Senior Departmental Comprehensive Examination; must have taken all of their Junior-and Senior-level requirements in the major at Morgan (unless granted prior written permission by the Dean to take courses elsewhere); and must have earned a cumulative average of 2.0 or better and a major average of 2.0 or better, with no outstanding grades below “C” in the major (which includes all courses required for the major and required supporting courses).

 

Requirements for the B.S. Degree in Engineering Physics

A minimum of 120 credit hours are required to graduate with a B.S. in Engineering Physics.  These credit hours are distributed as follows:

General Education and University Requirements    45 credits

Supporting Courses for Engineering Physics    11 credtis

Required Courses for the Engineering Physics Major    64 credits

Total Credits    120

Requirements for the Engineering Physics Major 64 credits

1 Electronics/Circuits Electives must be 5 credits chosen from Electronics/Circuits Electives section 

2 Engineering Science Electives must be 6 credits chosen from the Engineering Science Electives section

3 Engineering Design Electives must be 3 credits chosen from the Engineering Design Electives section

4 Free Electives must be 7 credits which must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher
