PHYS 303 - Electricity and Magnetism I


3 Credits
3 hours per week.

Part I of two-semester sequence. Topics covered include: electricity and the electrostatic field, magnetism and the magnetic field, potential, capacity, electrical circuit theory, inductive circuits, alternating current networks, transformers, electromagnetic waves, and Maxwell’s equations.

Prerequisite(s)  PHYS 206 , PHYS 206L  and MATH 243  or  MATH 340  completed with grades of “C” or higher
