EDSM 610 - Student Learning, Thinking and Discourse in Mathematics and Science Education

This course is designed as a seminar that will examine recent theory and research in student learning, thinking and discourse. Students will be required to read extensively in the areas of constructivism, schema theory, conceptual change, problem-solving and control strategies as a basis for under-standing the teaching and learning environment in mathematics and science classrooms.
