SOWK 704 - Research Methods for Urban Social Institutions

This course examines the assumptions and the underlying logic and methods of social science research. Special attention is given to an examination of the sundry methods of social science data collection, to the criteria that determine the selection of a specific method, and to an under-standing of the strengths and limitations of the various methods. These methods are explained and their applicability examined within the context of urban social institutions.
