ENGL 250 - Vocabulary Development 3 credits 3 hours per week.
This course is designed to give the student a solid foundation for life-long vocabulary development by acquainting him or her with the principles of word formation through an intensive study of the Latin and Greek roots, prefixes and suffixes which appear most commonly in English words. In addition, this course seeks to develop in the student an ability to make the fullest use of all the resources of the dictionary. (Formerly ENGL 222).
Prerequisite(s) ENGL 101 and ENGL 102 completed with grades of “C” or higher Offered (FALL/SPRING)
