This is a critical study of representative plays from the end of the nineteenth century to the present, including the dramatic works of Rostand, Claudel, Cocteau, Giraudoux, Montherlant, Sartre, Anouilh, and others.

Prerequisite(s) FREN 204, or four or more years or levels of French in high school.
