MLS 335 - Pathogenic Bacteriology 4 credits This is an integrated lecture/laboratory course of Part I of Clinical Microbiology. The lecture emphasis is on the understanding of the pathogenic bacteria and its role in the pathogenesis of human disease. The focus of the laboratory course will primarily be on the sample handling, culturing and identifying some of the clinically relevant pathogenic bacteria. Information on the types of diseases, epidemiology and transmissions, and the prophylactic and therapeutic methods of dealing with these organisms will be presented. MDTC 335
Prerequisite(s) BIOL 405 completed with a grade of “C” or higher. Permission from Program Director required for non-majors who wish to register. Offered (SPRING)
