MMJN 418 - Free Speech and Free Media in Global Societies 3 credits 3 hours per week.
This course examines issues involving the nature and responsibilities of freedom of speech and free media, including societal and legal issues and how those issues manifest in societies around the world. Major topics may include but are not limited to political, social, religious and hate speech; violence; traitorous and subversive speech; sexual expression; nonverbal expression and privacy issues.
