MUSC 391 - The World of Music

3 hours per week.

This survey course offers an introduction to European and American classical music from Antiquity to the present, and includes a unit on classical Jazz music. Students will be required to attend and write a paper summarizing a concert. This course is open to all university students; it requires no previous study of music. Fine and Performing Arts majors are encouraged to register.
