NURS 360 - Informatics and Technology in Nursing 3 credits 3 lecture hours.
This course covers basic computer skills and introduces students to nursing informatics. Basic principles of nursing informatics includes effective information flow, safety and security concepts of data, information and knowledge of issues related to the use of in professional nursing. It also requires students to critically appraise the use of technology in nursing. i. Students will use technology to communicate, to locate information and to evaluate effectiveness of care delivery in the practice of nursing.
Prerequisite(s) NURS 300 completed with a grade of “C” or higher Offered (SPRING)
