POSC 342 - Current International Problems 3 credits 3 hours per week.
Contemporary global problems are not exhaustive. Every decade presents its own challenges. This course discusses current international problems. It navigates major international relations theories that could result in the creation of these current problems. These theories are also discussed to determine how to resolve some of these problems. The objective of this course is to highlight contemporary global challenges that impact states as individuals and as a collective. Conflicts and wars, food security, climate change, Global Health, human trafficking, transnational organized crimes, and sustainable development are examined and discussed.
