PSYC 480 - Psychology Internship/Service Learning I 3 credits Psychology Internship I is a course through which undergraduate students are provided the structure for a field internship. Students are provided the opportunity to sequentially prepare for the service learning field internship experience by connecting their academic coursework to the needs of community-based organizations. The course provides guided instruction to enhance professional development skills, self-reflect, and process the challenges that accompany professional work environments. The culminating assessment for this course, the program evaluation paper, is the first component of the students’ capstone project. Through the program evaluation paper, students demonstrate knowledge and understanding of service learning.
Prerequisite(s) PSYC 101 or PSYC 111 and PSYC 316 completed with a grades of “C” or higher Offered (FALL)
