MGBU 395 - Leadership


3 credits
In this course you will develop your leadership skills and use an evidence-based management approach (ask, acquire, appraise, aggregate, apply, assess) to be a more effective leader.  You will assess and develop your leadership skills, including:  communication, influencing, conflict management, delegation, and decision-making skills.  Using an evidence-based management approach, principles, and concepts (i.e., bases of power, leadership styles, followership styles, situational leadership, leader-member exchange, etc.), you will develop competencies in:  1) motivating and engaging employees, 2) managing performance, 3) using appropriate situational judgment, 4) setting and reaching goals/goal setting, 5) creating a positive, inclusive culture, and 6) using managerial courage.  This is a course in the Evidence-Based Management Certificate track.   (Formerly MGMT 395)
