ACCT 496 - Professional Accounting Internship 3 credits 10 practicum hours.
This course requires the student to work in a supervised internship position geared toward leadership development in the accounting area for a minimum of 140 hours. The internship may cover public accounting, corporate accounting or governmental accounting. The assignment must be with a major U.S. or international company and be approved in advance by the department chairperson. The student must be evaluated by the internship supervisor and will be required to report on the results of the work experience both orally and in writing. Students must have at least a 2.75 GPA overall and 3.0 in accounting courses.
