CICS 496 - Living the Legacy of Morgan State

Explain the establishment and birth of higher education in America. Explore the historic overview of the founding and development of Morgan State University. Survey the history of Morgan State University within the context of the development of American race relations, major court cases, and other pivotal events. Recognize how Morgan State University students, administration, and alumni triumphed over institutional and systemic racism to pave the way for full citizenship of African Americans. Develop pride and create a connection to MSU. This course is a CAPSTONE requirement for undergraduate students in the College of Interdisciplinary and Continuing Studies.
