ECON 353 - Sustainable Urban Development

3 credits
The Economics of Sustainable Urban Development focuses on understanding the intersection between a city’s use of space and resources and the desire for progress to be sustainable.  The three main components of sustainable urban development are the environmental, social, and economic development issues that challenge cities as they grow.  These topics are examined by addressing economic, technical, political, and legal processes associated with the development of land and the built environment; particularly as it applies to the boundary with the natural environment.
