ENGR 313 - Environmental Justice in Transportation 3 credits This course is designed to help students evaluate and assess the modal complexity of environmental justice in transportation (EJT). It will focus on understanding the benefits and burdens of modal transportation investments. Understanding the complexity of transportation problems and identifying remedial policy requires an ability to identify, measure, and track the impact of transportation investment in our neighborhoods, communities, cities, counties, regions, and states. Over 8 modules and 16 sessions students will be introduced to the core principles of environmental justice and explore alternative and emerging transportation equity analysis approaches, common in transportation planning practice.
