BIOL 210 - Microbiology for Allied Health Majors 3 credits The purpose of this course is to introduce allied health students to the world of microorganisms relevant to nursing, nutritional sciences, and medical laboratory science. The lecture will focus on the fundamental concepts of microbiology, disease development, epidemiology, and microbiology of food, water, and soil. Through this course, students will develop the basic knowledge to understand the impact of microbes on humans, including health, food, and the environment.
Prerequisite(s) BIOL 101 and BIOL 102 OR BIOL 103 completed with grades of “C” or higher Co-Requisite(s) BIOL 210L Offered (FALL/SPRING)
