ENGR 300 - Africentric Engineering


3 credits
In this course, students will investigate the significant contributions made by African people in the development and growth of engineering as a field. Students will study the origins of engineering in early African civilizations and how these foundations paved the way for contemporary innovations. The course will explore how African societies leveraged engineering to achieve liberation, survival, and progress. Through a detailed analysis of the challenges and successes of African engineering innovators, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of this crucial aspect of African history. The course will employ dynamic learning methods and innovative strategies to enhance critical thinking skills and foster active student engagement.

Prerequisite(s) ENGL 102  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
