ECON 417 - Microeconomic Theory 3 credits This course covers topics such as the role of price as an allocative device in a market economy. Consumer theory, the theory of the firm, alternative market structures, general equilibrium theory, public goods, welfare economics and distribution theories are covered. Emphasis is given to theoretical rigor and logic in discerning real-world applications of Microeconomics.
Prerequisite(s) ECON 212 and MATH 114 or MATH 141 completed with grades of “C” or higher Offered (FALL)
