ECON 415 - Spatial Statistics in Economics


3 credits
This is an introductory level course in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and an intermediate level of statistics using spatial data and spatial analysis concepts.  Students will acquire skills in using relevant GIS software and gain experience in collecting, managing, modeling, and analyzing spatial data through the lens of statistics and regression analysis.  They will learn to think critically about spatial data by using statistics and gain the ability to apply a spatial approach to topics in economics and other relevant subjects.

Prerequisite(s) ECON 311  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
