CICS 305 - Leadership Principles 3 credits This course is designed for adult learners and working professionals preparing for managerial roles in diverse and evolving workplace settings. Leadership is explored as a dynamic and multidimensional process that encompasses traits, abilities, skills, behaviors, and relationships. Students will examine contemporary leadership theories and assess their own leadership philosophy to better understand its impact on their management style. Emphasis is placed on developing effective leadership strategies for leading remote and in-person teams, setting and aligning goals, and fostering team development. The course also addresses common leadership challenges and equips students with practical tools for motivating others, managing performance, and navigating organizational change.
