HRMG 422 - HR Analytics 3 credits This course empowers students to leverage data and analytics to enhance human resource management (HRM) practices and drive evidence-based decision-making. Students will gain hands-on experience with human resource information systems (HRIS), data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools. Through a combination of interactive lectures, real-world case studies, simulations, and collaborative discussions, students will develop practical skills to use analytics across core HR functions—such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Key topics also include predictive analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs) in HR, and ethical considerations in HR data usage. The course also emphasizes the ethical presentation and interpretation of data, fostering responsible and inclusive HR strategies. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to translate complex HR data into actionable strategies that align with organizational goals and values.
Prerequisite(s) HRMG 329 completed with a grade of “C” or higher and Senior status (90 or higher earned credits) Offered (FALL/SPRING)
