MMJN 412 - Data Driven Journalism

This course will teach students how to utilize datasets for investigative reporting and story writing. Data analysis will be a core component of the class, and while helpful, previous coursework in statistics is not necessary. All core and data analysis skills will be learned through the semester’s coursework.

Prerequisite(s) COMM 201 and COMM 202 completed with grades of “C” or higher and one of the following courses: MMJN 202 or MPPD 310 or SCOM 220 completed with a grade of “C” or higher
