COSC 474 - Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity 3 credits This course introduces undergraduate students to foundational machine learning concepts and their applications in cybersecurity. Students will learn how AI can enhance threat detection, automate responses, and identify cyber risks. Topics include supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, explainable AI (xAI), adversarial machine learning, and ethical concerns in security AI. Hands-on labs and case studies are integrated to reinforce technical and ethical understanding.
Prerequisite(s) COSC 220 and MATH 312 completed with grades of “C” or higher Offered (FALL/SPRING)
