ASLD 601 - Group Dynamics; Culturally Responsive School Leadership

This course presents methods of organizing and operating groups to deal with the management of educational change. This course presents techniques of effective communication, group interaction, planning and implementation for solving educational problems in large and small groups. Students will develop skills and apply them to problems in educational settings. In addition, this course will critically examine variables of race, power, legitimacy, cultural competence, poverty, disability, ethnicity, gender, age, language, and other factors impacting learning in Maryland, the United States, and globally in public education systems (PK-12) through the lens of school leadership.
