EDPL 702 - Theories of Power and Privilege in Black Education

This three-credit course presents an overview of major theories and issues in contemporary Black education. Special attention will be paid to the application of theory to practice. Participants will examine Black education issues through state, regional, local, and school-level legislation and literature. Additionally, in this class, students will engage myriad stakeholders and explore educational theories related to their dissertation interests.
