ASLP 810 - Advanced Qualitative Research Three hours. 3 Credits
This doctoral-level course prepares students to engage with large data sets and explore survey research. Students will search, locate, and find large data sets and will conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses of these data. Students will also clean and organize large data sets and conduct reliability and validity tests. In addition to engaging large data sets, students will be introduced to survey research and design methods. More specifically, students will learn the background and rationale for using survey research, how to design and test surveys, how to collect and analyze survey data, and how to measure validity and reliability of survey instruments.
