BIOI 695 - Bioinformatics Capstone Project 3 Credits
The capstone project, a crucial component of the Bioinformatics program, is a testament to the students’ mastery of the subject matter. It is undertaken in the final semester to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program in solving real-world problems. This individual project requires the student to draft a report on their chosen bioinformatics problem, demonstrating a deep understanding of the subject. The Capstone project topics should focus on AI and Machine Learning in Bioinformatics, Drug Design and Discovery, Omics technologies, and biomolecule structure determination and prediction. Completion of 21 course credits towards the Bioinformatics MS Degree, or approved by the Program Director or the Department Chair required to register.
