ARCH 302 - Design IV: Intro to Urban Design 6 Credits Eight studio hours per week. Two lecture hours.
This course introduces students to urban design for sites in Baltimore City. Students will analyze the existing settlement patterns, architectural character, environmental factors, transportation, use, history, demographics and other concerns affecting the areas of study. Students will then work individually and in groups on projects including master plans, streetscapes, individual blocks and infill buildings. (Formerly Design IV-Housing Studio).
Prerequisite(s) ARCH 301 . Students must pass ARCH 301 with a grade of C or better. Offered (SPRING)
