ENGL 393 - Studies in Folklore

Three hours per week.

This course introduces students to various folklore genres, including the folktale, legends and myths, riddles, proverbs, folk song, speech play, and other forms of oral poetics. The folklore of various world cultures will be the focus of this course, with emphasis on the comparative analysis of diverse cultural expressions.
