HIST 352 - African-American Women in United States History 3 Credits Three hours per week.
This course explores the ways in which issues of gender and race intersect in United States history and culture through an examination of the history of African-American women. It explores the cultural, economic, and political experiences of African-American women from enslavement to the present. Principal themes include: labor, family, reproduction, identity, intellectual traditions, and social and cultural movements in the United States and beyond.
