PHYS 205 - University Physics I 4 Credits Four lecture hours.
This is the first semester of a two-semester sequence. This is a calculus-based course designed for students of the natural sciences and engineering. This course emphasizes classical mechanics or Newtonian mechanics. Topics include force, particle kinematics and dynamics, equilibrium, Newton’s laws of motion and gravitation, rotational motion, collisions, momentum, heat, energy and conservation laws. You cannot registrar for PHYS 205 without PHYS 205L .
Prerequisite(s) MATH 241 . Students must pass MATH 241 with a grade of C or better. Co-Requisite(s) MATH 242 and PHYS 205L . Offered (FALL/SPRING)
