Coastal Science and Policy, B.S.

School-Wide Requirements


In addition to meeting the requirements in general Education and in the major, students must also complete six (6) credits in the complementary Studies Program required of all majors in the School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (SCMNS).  Options for satisfying this requirement are outlined under the section on the SCMNS.  In order to qualify for graduation, students must have taken all of their Junior and Senior level requirements in the major at Morgan (unless granted written permission by the Department Chair and Dean to take courses elsewhere);  and must have earned a cumulative average of 2.0 or higher and a major average of 2.0 or higher, with no outstanding grades below “C” in the major courses.

Requirements for the B.S. Degree in Coastal Science and Policy


A minimum of 120 credit hours are required to graduate with a B.S. in Physics.  These credit hours are distributed as follows:

 

  • General Education and University Requirements:  44 credits
  • Supporting Courses:  37 credits
  • Complementary Studies:  6 credits
  • Requirements for the Coastal Science and Policy Major:  33 credits

Supporting Courses 37 credits


All Supporting Courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.  These courses may be counted in the General Education Requirements as well.

Complimentary Studies 6 credits


Students must complete six (6) credits in the complementary Studies Program which are required of all majors in the School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences (SCMNS).  Options for satisfying this requirement are outlined under the section on the SCMNS page.
