The Online Post Baccalareate Certificate in Psychometrics affords access to the benefits of the Graduate Program in Psychometrics to current Morgan graduate students in other programs, non-degree-seeking students, and working professionals in the field. Students will create an individual plan of study with guidance from the online certificate advisor.

Admission

To be eligible for admission to the Online Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychometrics, an applicant must:

  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  • Possess an undergraduate cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 or better to be considered for regular admission. Students who possess a cumulative undergraduate G.P.A. of between a 2.5 and <3.0 may be considered for conditional admission.

  • Submit an application for admission to the School of Graduate Studies.  All required documents must be submitted as directed by the School of Graduate Studies prior to program review and admission decision.

  • Use the application system to arrange for two letters of recommendation to be placed with the application.  At least one letter must be from a faculty member who is familiar with the applicant’s academic abilities.  The second letter may be from another academic official or from a professional reference.

  • Submit a personal statement not to exceed three single-spaced pages regarding the applicant’s research interests, academic and professional plans, and the reasons for applying to the Graduate Certificate in Psychometrics at Morgan State University.

  • Submit transcripts of all academic degrees earned and attempted.

Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements and submitting all the required documents does not guarantee that an offer of admission will be made to the applicant.  The decision of the Program Admissions Committee involves a review and analysis of all the elements of the application as well as the availability of positions in the program.  The committee then recommends to the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies that an offer of admission should be made based on that review.
