Interdisciplinary Journalism and Mass Communication (MS) Program Information

The M.S. in Interdisciplinary Journalism and Mass Communication appeals to potential students working in journalism, media, non-profit, and business.  This program will also appeal to students with degrees in those fields, or the humanities, and social sciences.  The potential graduates of this program will have advanced growth opportunities in project management, Mobile communications, advertising, event management, marketing, market research analysis, journalism, communications, public relations, or editing.

 

Requirements for the M.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Journalism and Mass Communication is a minimum of 30 credit hours required to graduate.  Theses credit hours are distributed as follows:

Approved Interdisciplinary Coursework    12 credits

CICS Requirements     18 credits

Total Credits     30 credits

Interdisciplinary Coursework is twelve (12) credits of Approved Graduate Level Elective courses (500-999) chosen from the following areas:
