ASLP 834 - Phenomenological Research Methods


3 Credits

This graduate-level seminar provides an in-depth exploration of phenomenological research methodology. Students will engage with the philosophical foundations of phenomenology, learn various approaches to conducting phenomenological studies, and develop the skills necessary to design, conduct, analyze, and write up phenomenological research. The course emphasizes critical engagement with different phenomenological perspectives, ethical considerations, and the application of phenomenological methods to educational research. Through readings, discussions, practical exercises, and the development of a research proposal, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of phenomenological research.
