ARCH 401 - Building Design I

6 Credits
Eight studio hours per week. Two lecture hours.

This topical design studio will combine research activities with focused design projects. Students will perform directed research and develop a level of expertise in a particular building type. This will be applied to design project(s). The design results will both reflect the student’s accumulated skills in addressing program, site, structure and building design and the depth of knowledge acquired from the research portion of the studio. (Formerly Design Studio IV).

Prerequisite(s) ARCH 302 and ARCH 311 and ARCH 312 . Students must pass each class with a grade of C or better.
Co-Requisite(s) ARCH 423 .
