*denotes a department required major/supporting course which may fulfill a general education requirement and must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher

1  The SWAN History/Culture course must be fulfilled using 1 course chosen from the following:  SWAN 241 SWAN 305 SWAN 350 SWAN 355 ART 272  

2  Two sequential courses in a single foreign language 203 or higher

3   B.F.A. students are required to complete six credits of approved SWAN Elective Practical Studio courses as a substitution for the foreign language requirement which must be chosen from the following:  SWAN 321 SWAN 330 SWAN 385 SWAN 386 SWAN 391 SWAN 400 SWAN 410 SWAN 425 SWAN 434 SWAN 455 SWAN 456 SWAN 470 SWAN 480  OR with the consultation of your SWAN Advisor, any 300-400 level courses for which you qualify for SWAN or for The Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management, The Global School of Journalism and communication, The School of Architecture and Planning, and The School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.
