BUAD 381 - the Legal and Ethical Environment of Business


3 Credits
Three hours per week.

The course introduces students to ethical theory and decision making models, as well as the power and functions of courts, court systems, litigation, and the U.S. Constitution and business. Students are introduced to substantive rules of law in the areas of contract, torts, criminal law, product and service liability and their impact internationally. Governmental efforts to regulate business activity relative to worker protection, consumer protection and environmental law are covered.

Prerequisite(s) Junior standing in the GSBM.
