HEED 420 - Directed Reading in Public Health, Research II 3 Credits Three hours per week.
This course explores various research designs, data collection procedures, data analysis and the ethical implications of public health research. As culminating research methods course, this course provides students with the skills needed to examine the strengths and weaknesses of various research designs used in public health. This course also explores the detailed process of conceptualizing and constructing an evidence based literature review and draws upon the principles attained in Research Methods I. The course explores the step-by-step process of synthesizing peer reviewed publications in creating a coherent public health related literature review.
Prerequisite(s) HEED 104 , HEED 419 , PHEC 358 (SOCI 351 ). Offered (FALL).
