COSC 243 - Computer Architecture 3 Credits 3 lecture hours.
This course is an introduction to computer organization and architecture. The computer is described as a hierarchy of levels, each performing some well-defined function. Comparisons are made in the way the levels and functions are implemented in various computer systems. This course focuses on fundamental knowledge on CPU organization and control, instruction set architecture, memory organizations, input/output structurer, and parallel architectures.
Prerequisite(s) COSC 241 completed with a grade of “C” or higher Offered (FALL/SPRING)
