HLTH 204 - Community Health Practices


3 Credits
3 hours per week.

This course provides an overview of real world factors that impact the process of designing, implementing and delivering health promotion programs within community settings and the health educator’s role in that process. Special attention will be given to understanding historical occurrences, the impact of social determinants and providing culturally competent health education programs in public, private and voluntary health agencies. HEED 204

Prerequisite(s) HLTH 101  and HLTH 103  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
