HIST 330 - Urban History of the United States

This course covers how cities develop in what becomes the United States from the colonial era to the present with an emphasis on the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Topics to be covered include: Immigration/migration, the formation of ethnic neighborhoods and communities, segregation, suburbanization, and gentrification.
