PHYS 308 - Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics

3 Credits
3 lecture hours.

This course is a study of thermometry, specific heats, transfer of heat, change of state, kinetic theory, the laws of thermodynamics, thermodynamic potentials and Maxwell’s relations.

Prerequisite(s) PHYS 206 , PHYS 206L  and MATH 243  or MATH 340   completed with grades of “C” or higher
