HLTH 211 - Injury Prevention and Management 3 Credits 3 lecture hours.
This course (lecture and in class practicum) provides theoretical knowledge base and practical execution methods of evaluation, prevention, and rehabilitation of commonly occurring athletic injuries among teens through middle-aged adults. Major emphasis is on: pre-injury conditioning methods; key anatomical structures, physiologic signs and functional limitations closely associated with common injuries, injury phase recognition; and comprehensive management for return to play.
